Note:
- On Tuesdays no books shall be issued or taken back from the library.
- For the convenience of the members, a bell shall be rung at 10.30 PM for members to place their last order, the second bell shall be rung at 11.00 PM informing members about the time to finish off their Drinks and Food. The members are expected to leave the Club latest by 11.30 PM.

Dependants below the age of 21 years

Dependants are not permitted in the Club after 5.00 PM unless accompanied by the parents.
Dependants are not allowed to buy Hard Drinks.
Dependants are not allowed to bring guests to the Club.

Dress Code

The following ARE NOT permitted in the clubhouse - Kurta Payjama, Pathani, Shorts, Barmudas, Chappals, Track suits, Round Collared T-shirts and Patkas for Sikh persons above 18 years of age. Sports gear is allowed only in the sports area.

No Fire-arm

No member, his guest or dependent shall be allowed to bring fire arms or any such articles, which can be used as a lethal weapon, to the Club.

Guests

Any non-member, who is eligible, can be introduced as a guest by a Permanent Member not more than twice in a month, by one or more Permanent Members respectively and his/her name must be entered by the introducing Permanent Member in the guest register. A guest shall be allowed to enter the Club only if accompanied by the Permanent Member and shall be allowed to use the Club facilities only as long as the Permanent Member introducing him/her is present in the Club.

It will be the responsibility of the Permanent Member bringing guest to the Club, to ensure that the particular local guest has not visited the Club more than twice in the month. The guest fee will be Rs. 25/- for each visit, in addition to the fees prescribed by the committee for various facilities. For third visit infringement fee for Rs. 150/- will be charged from the members. For the fourth visit the local guest will be debarred from using Club as a guest or as a visitor. If the infringement is repeated in subsequent months then he is debarred from becoming a permanent member of the Club.

Spouses, Dependents of Permanent Members and Lady Subscribers are not allowed to bring guests to the Club.
Outside Food not Allowed
Members are not allowed to bring consumables like drinks, snacks or food items from outside.
Attendants not Allowed
Attendants, Ayahs, are not allowed inside the main building or the front lawns. Drivers, Guards are not allowed inside the Club, they should confine only to the parking area.
Terms/Rules for Room booking

  • Check out time 12 Noon.
  • For extra mattress Rs.200/-
  • Rooms are not available for organizing any commercial activities/interviews/conferences.
  • Gambling or other illegal activity strictly not allowed inside
  • the rooms. Disciplinary action will be taken against defaulting

Members/Guests.

  • Pets are not allowed in the Club or the Residential Rooms.
  • Cancellation Charges
  • If cancelled before 24 hours 10% of the room tariff for all the rooms booked.
  • If cancelled within 24 hours and booking for only one day, 100% of the room tariff for all the rooms booked.
  • If cancelled within 24 hours and booking for two or more days 100% of the room tariff for all the rooms booked for first day and 10% of the room tariff for the second day.

Affiliated Club Members

Members of the Affiliated Clubs, not resident in Dehra Dun may use this club for a period of 10 days in a month to a maximum of 30 days in year without subscription or as per Reciprocal arrangement with the parent Club.

Members of the Affiliated Clubs will have to produce the following documents during their visit to Dehra Dun Club.

  • Membership ID Card issued by the Secretary of the parent Club.
  • Introduction letter from the parent Club clearly stating the duration and purpose of visit to Dehra Dun.
  • Driving License / Voters ID / Passport as address proof.
  • Affiliated Club Members shall, on their arrival at the Dehra Dun Club, contact the Secretary or the Marshall or any other authorized person. They shall also be required to get acquainted with general Rules of the Club.
  • Reciprocal Members are not permitted to bring guests.
    Members of the Affiliated Clubs are not allowed any credit facility and will have to pay for all services availed in cash.
  • For Booking of Residential accommodation Members of the Affiliated Club have to put in a request in writing mentioning the name, membership number and name of the Parent Club, date and time of arrival, number of days the accommodation is required and the names of the occupants. No booking shall be made for any other person except for the Affiliated Club Member if the Member himself is not accompanying the occupant. Reservation of Residential Rooms shall be done strictly on priority and availability and receipt of advance payment in full for the number of days the room is booked. For booking/cancellation of any reservation guidelines as stated above shall apply.
  • For Booking of Residential accommodation Members of the Affiliated Club have to put in a request in writing mentioning the name, membership number and name of the Parent Club, date and time of arrival, number of days the accommodation is required and the names of the occupants. No booking shall be made for any other person except for the Affiliated Club Member if the Member himself is not accompanying the occupant. For booking/cancellation of any reservation guidelines as stated above shall apply.
  • Affiliated Club Members shall be treated as guests during any Club functions and guest charges for the function shall be applicable on them.
  • Affiliated Club Members are permitted to make use of the Club Library and the Reading Room within its confined limits.

Membership of Dehra Dun Club Ltd.

There are two classes of Members: Permanent, and Corporate.

Permanent Members: All gentlemen, above the age of 25 years, received in general society are eligible for acceptance as Permanent or Temporary Members. Decision of the Managing Committee in taking/not taking any member shall be final. Presently there is a waiting list of over 15 years.

Corporate Members: The Managing Committee may at its sole discretion admit corporate Members (Public Limited Companies listed on recognized stock exchange). The corporate Member may nominate a maximum of 5 senior executives of its organisation to represent them. The name of the company shall only be entered in the Register of Members as the Corporate Member. The Corporate Member (the company) shall only have one vote irrespective of the number of nominated executive. The vote shall be allowed to be casted only by one nominated executive duly authorized by the board resolution of the company.
